IT/ISP Specialist

A dynamic and suitable person is required to fill vacancy for specialist in the IT/ISP area integrated in engineering and Operations of Timor Telecom.


Reporting to the Chief of Switching Department: you will be in the IT/ISP department for the following key performance areas:

  • Responsible to provide specialized technical support to the IT/ISP team.
  • Responsible to define the technological evolution to be followed in the area.
  • Definitions of team’s work plan.
  • Responsible to provide On Job training to existing IT/ISP team.
  • Elaborations and implementation of Operation and Maintenance procedures for the team area.
  • Elaborations of procurement procedures for the area for further superior approval.
  • Preparations of information for the management.
  • Promotions of team spirit among the staff as well as with the rest of company’s employees.

Skills of Competencies and Qualifications Required

  • Degree in Informatics Engineering or equivalents.
  • Cisco Certifications (CCNP).
  • Microsoft Certifications (MSCSE) – Good understanding and experience in system operations, particularly Microsoft and Linux.
  • Knowledge in email server Kerio (Preferential).
  • Strong knowledge in IT applications (such Ms Exchange).
  • Fluent in both writing and speaking of English (Mandatory).
  • Fluent in both writing and speaking of Portuguese (Preferential).

General Requirement

  • Previous professional experience in the same role (2 years minimum).
  • Capacity and experience of leadership and coordination of work team.
  • Capacity of transfer knowledge and to train people.
  • Dynamic spirit and responsibility sense.
  • Self motivated and initiative.
